Last Updated: 06.06.2026 | Version: 3.0
1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This Explicit Consent Text regulates the obtainment of explicit consent from the user regarding the processing of the personal data categories specified below within the Catcha-app.com mobile application and all connected digital services (including AR modules, matching systems, event infrastructure, location-based services, and security systems). Within the scope of KVKK (Law on the Protection of Personal Data), explicit consent is defined as 'specific consent based on information and given with free will'. By continuing to use the Catcha-app.com platform or by approving the relevant permission screens, the user acknowledges that they consent to the following operations.
2. PROCESSING ACTIVITIES SUBJECT TO EXPLICIT CONSENT
The user gives explicit consent to the following data processing activities:
2.1 Processing of Location Data (Sensitive Data):
• Processed Data: GPS location data, Wi-Fi access point information, Bluetooth-based proximity signals, regional location clusters, and approximate distance data.
• Purpose: Displaying nearby users and events, operation of the matching algorithm, positioning of AR objects.
• Security Declaration: The exact GPS coordinates of users are never shown to other users. Location data is processed in a masked and approximated manner. There is no real-time, one-to-one tracking system.
2.2 Processing of Camera and Visual Data:
• Operations: Profile picture upload, use of AR (augmented reality) features, optional selfie verification processes.
• Processed Data: Camera image (instant), profile images, AR environmental visual data (temporary processing on the device).
• Critical Assurance: AR camera images are not permanently stored on servers. Image processing is performed on the device as much as possible.
2.3 Microphone and Hardware Permissions (Optional):
The user consents to the use of the microphone and device sensors in cases of voice communication features, video/content production, and AR stabilization and motion detection. The user can always revoke these permissions from the device settings.
2.4 Verification (Identity and Selfie Processes):
• Processed Data: Selfie images, identity document images (only if requested), face verification results (mathematical comparison outputs).
• Purpose: Prevention of fake accounts, bot and spam detection, detection of users under the age of 18, protection of a safe community environment.
• Important Note: This process is not active by default. It is only triggered in case of risk detection, security breach, or user verification needs.
2.5 AI-Powered Analysis Systems:
The user consents to data processing activities for content moderation, spam and fraud detection, fake account analysis, harassment/hate speech detection, and matching algorithm optimization.
• Consequences: Content visibility may be reduced, content may be removed, or the account may be temporarily restricted. The user accepts that these operations can be carried out entirely by automated systems.
2.6 Security and Log Processing:
The user accepts the processing of IP address, device identity (Device ID / UUID), session logs, and transaction records for security purposes.
• Purpose: Obligations under Law No. 5651, prevention of cyber attacks, and detection of unauthorized access.
3. DATA SHARING AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The user accepts that their data may be shared in a limited manner with the following service providers:
- Cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
- VPS / virtual server and hosting service providers
- SMS / e-mail verification services
- Map and location services
- Security and anti-fraud systems
- Analytical tools (anonymized data)
These service providers cannot use the data for their own purposes and act solely as data processors on behalf of the Catcha-app.com platform.
4. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
- Data is only stored for the duration of the service continuation.
- When the account is deleted, personal data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period.
- Legal obligations (Law No. 5651, etc.) are reserved.
5. RIGHT TO EXPLICIT CONSENT AND WITHDRAWAL
The user:
- May withdraw their explicit consent at any time.
- The withdrawal of consent is effective for the future.
- The withdrawal process may cause some services to partially or completely fail to function.
6. PRE-PERMISSION PRINCIPLE
Before using permissions such as camera, location, and microphone, the Catcha-app.com platform clearly shows the user which data is requested, why it is requested, how long it will be processed, and with whom it will be shared. No sensitive permission is activated without user consent.
7. FINAL PROVISION
The user acknowledges that they have read and understood this text and give their explicit consent to the data processing activities with their free will.
